Samuthram, Tamil Nadu
The village of Samuthram is typical of many in rural India. Many of the people would use the adjacent fields as toilets and this would lead to the spread of disease, especially among young children. We were able to co-ordinate a project that would ensure clean water for all, and make sure the poorest families had their own ecosan toilets.
